For years, discussions about the use and\ndevelopment of electrical vehicles have been ongoing. With many people\npassionate believers in the use of electrical technology like this to create a\nmore sustainable environment, it\u2019s good news to see companies such as BMW being\nso proactive in finding solutions. Indeed, they have a new concept on the way:\nan electric motorcycle that could become a template for bikes in the many years\nto come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Motorrad Vision DC Roadster is the\nmost exciting electric bike that we have seen from BMW so far. With a few years\nof hard work moving to this point, the Roadster looks like it could be the\npathway that BMW need to head down if they wish to break into this lucrative\nmarket. The bike, free from specifications at the moment, is not presently\ncoming with a release date or any kind of information about when it could move\nfrom concept to reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, it\u2019s probably the most exciting and\ncomplete take on the electric bike that the BMW firm has managed to produce so\nfar. Ever since 2014 and their release of the C Evolution electric motor\nscooter, BMW has been making gradual but important progress towards a more\nimpressive electric vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The C Evolution was capable of doing as\nmuch as 100 miles per charge, with a top speed of 80mph. However, it\u2019s massive\nexpenses \u2013 around $14,000 \u2013 made it an unaffordable option for many. That being\nsaid, it proved to be a vital educational step for the Motorrad group in BMW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ever since then, though, moves have been\nafoot in the background to produce something even more impressive. This new\nbike looks like it could be the best step forward, after the likes of the\nMotorrad Next 100 in 2016 and the Motorrad Concept Link, which was shown off in\n2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2019s offering, though, looks like it\ncould be the most exciting one yet. Stylish and effective, it looks like the\nkind of bike that we see in sci-fi movies. Compare it to the 2016 and 2017\nmodels, though, and it\u2019s far less over the top in terms of the design. If you\nwish to see a vehicle come to life with plenty of charisma but nowhere near the\nludicrous design features that old models looked to have, then the Roadster\nmight be the bike you wish to keep an eye on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can\nwe expect to see the Roadster soon?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s really unlikely that this will move\nfrom concept to reality anytime soon, though. However, unlike the other concept\nmodels we have soon, this does genuinely look to have a good chance of making\nit from concept to reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Excitement is high within BMW and the\nbiking community to see what comes next for this important part of their\nelectrical bike development calendar. While it might need plenty of work to get\nto the right stage in terms of cost and efficiency, the Roadster could just be\nthe golden ticket that BMW were looking for to make their mark on the industry.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
